Krampusnacht Durham is an inclusive assemblage of performers, costume artists, makers, and crafters who bring European Christmas folks monsters to life for our annual Krampuslauf. Everyone is welcome to join us. Our main restriction is that creatures and costumes follow European Christmas folk traditions (e.g., Krampus, perchten, Mari Lwyd, Belsnickel, the Yule Cat, etc.)

Krampusnacht Durham hosts an annual Krampuslauf through the streets of downtown Durham, North Carolina. We also host costume crafting workshops leading up to the main event.

new member criteria:
We welcome anyone who is willing and able to attend our in-person events and put effort into a costume. Creepy, creative, homemade costumes are highly encouraged. Think parade-worthy - bigger and bolder is better! We want you to BE your character!
